IP Encapsulators

Novra's provides two full-featured IP Encapsulators that provide an exceptional price-to-performance solution for broadcasting TCP/IP data within an MPEG-DVB or MPEG-ATSC system infrastructure. The flexibility of this platform is unmatched, offering a high-speed multiplexing framework to integrate and manage various data inputs into a single MPEG-2 transport stream. A key element of the IP Encapsulators is the suite of intuitive management and monitoring tools that enable allocation and prioritization of bandwidth to efficiently load-balance all traffic.

Novra's IPE's include the following basic features:

The Novra IPE family consists of two different models that provide for all your IP Encapsulation needs.

IPE-410C

The IPE-410C is a low-cost, reliable, full featured IP Encapsulator at an entry-level price. The IPE-410C is housed in a compact 1RU form factor. Data throughput is available from 10 Mbps up to 100 Mbps in 10 Mpbs steps.

An optional ASI input is available. The IPE handles multiplexing the incoming PID's with the encapsulated IP data, including regeneration of the SI tables.

As mentioned above, the IPE-410C includes a powerful 3-tier Qualifty of Service (QoS) offering that enables extensive PID-level traffic managment and bandwdith sharing.

 

IPE-520C

The IPE-520C provides all of the functionality of the IPE-410C, but in a more robust and powerful platform. The IPE-520C includes hot-swap, redundant, power supplies and mirrored hard disk drives. It includes a powerful quad core processor and a Gigabit network interface that enables data throughputs from 10 Mbps to 200 Mbps in 10 Mpbs steps.

As with the IPE-410C, the IPE-520 includes an optional ASI input and SI table service to multiplex the incoming PID's with the outgoing encapsulated IP data.

The IPE-520 also includes a 3-tier QOS for exceptional PID-level traffic management.
